Holidays at the Hudson River Museum
November 07 – January 08 Holiday Displays, Planetarium Shows, Programs, and Creative Workshops The Hudson River Museum has a full holiday slate beginning November 23. Enjoy holiday displays of historic twirling toys (tops), a 26-room handmade dollhouse, Glenview, an historic home, decorated for a Victorian holiday and three Sundays of music performances and creative workshops. The planetarium star show —Holiday Rocket— a favorite for all ages returns to top off the season. Holiday Displays November 23 – February 10 Glenview, a Hudson River home at the Museum, is decorated for the holidays. Nybelwyck Hall, a 26-room handmade dollhouse in the spirit of Hudson Valley homes. Ancient texts, and modern science and scholarship aid us to uncover the story of a famous celestial mystery. Presentation, q&a. and show. Saturday and Sunday Planetarium Shows 12:30 , 1:30 , 2:30 , 3:30 pm Youthful space travelers tour Solar System 2056, braving the new frontier and hold onto ancient holiday traditions that celebrate hope, light, and generosity. Mark Hannukah on Jupiter’s moon Europa, celebrate Kwanzaa on the moon, and eid-ul-Fitr on the red sands of Mars. Learn the story of the Star of Bethlehem, the origin of many holiday traditions, and discover what really happened to Santa Claus.
