Free First Fridays: Spanglish Fly
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Spanglish Fly, a Latin boogaloo revival band that plays irresistible grooves blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms with the fervor and harmonics of 60s soul. Boogaloo or bugalú is a genre of Latin music and soul/R&B that emerged from the clubs, street corners, transistor radios, and pool halls of 1960s Spanish Harlem, also known as “El Barrio.” They will perform sets at 5:30 and 6:30pm.
In addition, get creative in a bilingual sketching workshop with Carolina Amarillo in the galleries, and enjoy our current exhibitions. Cash bar.
