Learn kayaking basics from experienced guides in the cove at JFK Marina next to the HRM. Ages 6+; no experience is required. Kayaking is a water sport‚ expect to get wet!

Participants should meet by the cove at JFK Marina, just north of the Museum off Kennedy Boulevard, or travel down to the river by foot or car from the Museum prior to paying admission. The event is first come, first served, so there may be a wait. Waivers, which can be signed ahead of time here, must be signed before participants can go on the water.

What’s included: kayaks, single and double sit-on-tops, paddle, lifejacket, experienced guides on the water.

What to bring: hat, water shoes or sneakers, sunglasses, towel, clothes that can get wet. Please note, there are no changing facilities at JFK Marina.

The program may be cancelled or modified due to weather/water conditions. Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 14.
