Join artist, educator, and curator Patricia Miranda in an immersive and exploratory painting workshop. Create paints by extracting natural dyes from minerals, insects, and flowers (such as purple iris flowers, buckthorn berries, indigo, and oak gall). While exploring the origins of colors, learn about their uses in painting on hand- and machine-made papers, panel, fabric, and canvas, and work with water-based binders such as gum arabic, rabbit skin glue, and egg white.

Support provided by Art Bridges.
