A Special Thanks to Our Dedicated Docents

On Monday, May 20, the HRM hosted its annual breakfast to honor our amazing volunteers. We are profoundly grateful to each of our docents, who generously share their enthusiasm, time, and expertise with the Museum.

The event featured inspiring remarks by Masha Turchinsky, Director and CEO, Saralinda Lichtblau, Assistant Director of Education, and Megan Byrnes, Manager of School Programs. Their speeches highlighted the vital contributions our volunteers make to the Museum’s mission.

Each volunteer received a certificate recognizing their dedication, including the number of hours they have contributed. From July 2023 through April 2024, our docents have collectively contributed more than 1,500 volunteer hours. Notably, Annette Candido, the incoming Docent Council Vice President, has already logged an impressive 92 hours this year. Special thanks to Annette, incoming President Susan Kutzin, and our outgoing leaders, President Loretta Poole and Vice President Carolyne Berkeley, for their exceptional service.

Our docents play a crucial role in our community, guiding thousands of visitors through our exhibitions each year. They ensure that visitors of all ages enjoy a rich, educational experience that fosters lifelong learning.

To all our volunteers: your dedication is what makes the HRM so special. Thank you for your unwavering support and hard work.
