Beyond Costumes: A Conversation with Yon Zweibon

Join HRM Director and CEO Masha Turchinsky for an inspiring conversation with Yon Zweibon, the Yonkers-based costumer and founder of Beyond Costumes, the largest privately owned costume shop in the New York metropolitan area. Serving the film, television, and theater industries, as well as the public, Zweibon will discuss the transformative power of costumes in her life and the lives of those who wear them.

In March 2025, Zweibon will celebrate the 25th anniversary of purchasing the business and making a dramatic career shift from CPA to costumer. She’ll bring a selection of costumes from her shop and share insights into their power to transform. Audience members are invited to try on a costume, and HRM Junior Docents will model costumes to encourage participation in this unique and interactive experience.
