Bronx-based DJ Sunny Cheeba, founder of Uptown Vinyl Supreme, will spin tunes that celebrate love, intimacy, and the contributions of Black artists to the world of music. Focusing classical, soul, and R&B music from the Motown era up to the present day, featured artists will include Patrice Rushen, Stephanie Mills, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Isley Brothers, Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Sade, Janet Jackson, Zhané, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Maxwell, and Sault.

Sunny Cheeba was born and raised in the Bronx. Known for her role in co-founding DJ Collective Uptown Vinyl Supreme, she has made a name for herself in the underground music scene. Cheeba gathers inspiration from the timeless grooves of soul, funk, and disco, to the rhythmic magic of house, Hip-Hop, and R&B, to the diasporic beats of salsa, reggae, Afro-beat, and baile funk. Her mission on any given dance floor is liberation of the mind, body, and soul.
