Wellness Workshop: Reflections of the Human Heart

Elementary-age children and their caregivers are invited to join art therapist Kit Demirdelen for a workshop that explores the healing qualities of art and nature. This in-person event will start in the galleries with a guided discussion of how major artworks in the exhibition Cycles of Nature express emotion. Then, participants will create their own artwork in Greene Education Center. Various art materials will be available, from oil pastels to watercolor. Finished works of art will be considered for a display of works that explore what it means to reconnect and recover after life-altering events.

This program will be followed by three on-site workshops on the following dates:

• Saturday, October 15, 2022, 1–3pm (for adults)
• Saturday, November 19, 2022, 1–3pm (for middle and high school students)
• Saturday, January 21, 2023, 1–3pm (for families)
