Hudson River Museum Joins Museums for All, a Nationwide Access Program for Low-Income Families
YONKERS, NY, March 3, 2022 — Hudson River Museum is proud to announce that it has joined Museums for All, a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits. Museums for All is part of the Hudson River Museum’s broad commitment to seek, include, and welcome all audiences.
The program supports those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits visiting the Hudson River Museum for a minimal fee of $2 per person, up to four people, for general gallery admission, with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. Similar free and reduced admission is available to those who are eligible at more than 800 museums across the country.
Museums for All helps expand access to museums and also raise public awareness about how museums in the U.S. are reaching their entire communities. More than 800 institutions participate in the initiative, including art museums, children’s museums, science centers, botanical gardens, zoos, history museums, and more. Participating museums are located nationwide, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Virgin Islands.

Hudson River Museum is a preeminent cultural institution in Westchester County and the New York metropolitan area. Situated on the banks of the Hudson River in Yonkers, New York, the HRM’s mission is to engage, inspire, and connect diverse communities through the power of the arts, sciences, and history. Hours and Admission: Hudson River Museum is open to the public Thursday–Sunday, 12–5pm. Vaccination required for entry: all visitors 5+ must show proof of full vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of visit; those 18+ must also show proof of identity.
