A Gilded Age Holiday: Live Opera in Glenview

Celebrate the season with our annual concert in Glenview, produced in partnership with the Yonkers Chaminade Club. Internationally acclaimed soprano Korliss Uecker (as Mrs. Astor), baritone and pianist James Rensink (as Mr. Astor), and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra principal cellist Jerry Grossman (performing instrumental solos) will delight with a program of holiday favorites, popular period songs, and opera arias.

The trio will also perform selections from operas and operettas that Australian soprano Nellie Melba may have sung at her 1893 Metropolitan Opera debut. Both Glenview and the Metropolitan Opera appear in HBO’s award-winning The Gilded Age, whose third season is now in production. Learn more about the series.
