Artist Insights with Librado Romero: The Hudson Carries Me Away

Join artist Librado Romero in a virtual workshop in which participants will paint a view—either from their home or from their imagination—that inspires them to travel. Romero will share a video showing himself painting en plein air, or outside, in Riverdale Park looking toward the Hudson River and Palisades. This scene inspires many of his works in his exhibition From the Desert to the River, which complements Landscape Art & Virtual Travel that hangs nearby. We shall then join him on the balcony of his 9th floor studio for a demonstration of how he designs and paints these compelling views.

Materials required: paper, poster board, or canvas; watercolor, tempera, or acrylic, etc.; brushes and water.
