Join the Bardekova woodwind quintet inside the exhibition Landscape Art & Virtual Travel as they perform classic works by Franz Danzi, Antonio Vivaldi, and Gioachino Rossini, along with modern pieces by Miles Davis and Celia Cruz, which respond to the images of nature surrounding us in the galleries and transport us to unexpected places. As you travel, stop by to watch and listen to Yonkers own Adam Ray on flute; Ellen Bardekoff on oboe; Akari Yamamoto on clarinet; Yuki Higashi on bassoon; and Sigrun Kahl on French horn.

The Bardekova Ensemble, a non-profit organization whose mission is to make music from different periods accessible to people of all ages and economic circumstances, has been bringing free concerts to the Bronx, Westchester, and New York City for 37 years. Musicians in the group have performed with members of the New York Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Opera. They have also played with the Goldovsky Opera Company, the Steve Reich Ensemble and other notable performing organizations. They have recorded with ECM, Nonesuch, Grenadilla and the Et Cetera record companies.
