Gallery Tour and Art Workshop: Resonance in Sight and Sound

Join a gallery tour and art-making workshop led by Nitza Danieli, Director of Alfano Arts in Medicine, and bassist and composer Martin Wind. Take a close look at Arthur Dove’s Sunset and Georgia O’Keeffe’s A Piece of Wood II / From Knot of Wood, both of which play with form, color, and line. While Wind improvises musical passages inspired by the paintings on his bass, engage with the sights and sounds and sketch what you see and hear. Then create a work of art based on your sketches, using a combination of mediums including drawing, text, musical notes, paint, collage, and more.
