Textured Drawings

Inspired by Maya Lin: A River Is a Drawing, multidisciplinary artist Julia Whitney Barnes will explore the art of rubbings made with natural materials. Participants are invited to collect their own nature specimens and use them to create drawings.

Julia Whitney Barnes is a multi-disciplinary artist; her works include oil paintings, ceramic sculptures, murals, drawings, etchings, and site-specific installations. Barnes received her BFA from Parsons in 2001 and her MFA from Hunter College in 2006.
