While the border wall is thousands of miles away, its impact is felt in our local communities. Four special guests will share personal stories and invite audience discussion about migration and the legal services that address and facilitate action, amelioration, advocacy, and alliances.

Join former DACA recipient Diana Sanchez, Community Organizer and Co-founder of Yonkers Sanctuary Movement; Neighbors Link volunteer Susan Weissert, who has worked as a translator at hearings for undocumented migrants and detainees; Luis Leon, Senior Staff Attorney with Make the Road; and Karin Anderson Ponzer, Ph. D, Director of Legal Services for Neighbors Link Community Law Practice, for this timely conversation about evolving immigration issues. Share your questions, comments, and concerns with our panel. Moderated by Carola Bracco, Executive Director of Neighbors Link.

This program, offered in English and Spanish with simultaneous interpretation, is in conjunction with Border Cantos | Sonic Border: Richard Misrach | Guillermo Galindo, which is on view at the HRM through May 9, 2021.
