The Native Landscape: Artist Talk and Workshop with Jeremy Dennis
Celebrate Earth Day and join Native American photographer Jeremy Dennis for a conversation about his career as a Shinnecock artist who lives on Long Island and documents the landscapes sacred to his people. Then, take part in a photography workshop where participants can engage in a personal scavenger hunt in the galleries or in the areas surrounding the Museum to find landscapes that relate to local history and their own individual stories. Take photographs with a smartphone or a polaroid camera lent by the Museum, and then share images with the group for an artist critique and discussion.
Capacity is limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
