Embark on a captivating tour of the night sky as seen from our area, featuring visible planets, bright stars, seasonal constellations, periodic comets, upcoming rocket launches, and more!

In July, look due south at sunset to spot Antares, the vivid orange-red heart of the Scorpion. This part of the sky is bursting with bright stars, dark nebulae, and dazzling starfields. Using Antares as our anchor, we’ll tour this celestial neighborhood in this month’s show.

In August, the Sun sets in the direction of the center of our galaxy—a region filled with stars, glowing gas, and dark dust. Hidden deep within it is a black hole four million times the mass of the Sun. Learn about the remarkable details that astronomers have uncovered—even capturing an image of the turbulent gases swirling around it.

Recommended for ages 8+; 60-minute live and interactive show. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.
