In honor of Women’s History Month, Bridget Ierace, an astrophysics graduate student at the City University of New York and former HRM planetarium intern, will join us as a special guest!

In her work, Ierace has studied the large collection of photographic plates kept by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, some of which date back more than a century.
These plates were famously cataloged by a team of women—back when women were generally not allowed to be professional astronomers or teach physics—and provide an irreplaceable record of variable stars and faint asteroids.

As always, we’ll be looking at the sky during the program, this time with our special guest joining in as HRM science educators guide you around the constellations.

Just like programs in the Planetarium, we’ll be able to take questions—this time through chat. Recommended for general audiences, ages 8+. Please register only once per household.

Tickets for HRM Members are free! Not a member? Join today!
