Virtual Teen Art Project: Ghosts Rewrote the Story
Amaryllis De Jesus Moleski is an interdisciplinary artist whose works question, revise, and flip foundational myths, stories, and histories on their heads. She has created her own unique visual language that depicts feminine figures of color as powerful protagonists and supernatural beings. De Jesus Moleski’s recent piece Soul Hunt (search party), a featured work in the HRM exhibition Women to the Fore, provides participants with inspiration for creating their own work of fantastical narrative visual art.
Materials required: paper, pencil, markers, crayons; paint and collage supplies if available. Recommended for ages 12+.
