Virtual Travel Through the Five Senses: Touch

Admission Registration required

Join us for this series of family programs exploring artworks on view in Landscape Art & Virtual Travel through the senses! This program is all about touch. Ana Mendieta was known for her “earth-body” artwork and connected herself directly to the land—air, water, mud, and plant life—through her performances, photographs, and films. What does your favorite place in the world feel like? In this program, we will share details about our personal connection to specific places and then design our own mark to make in the ground, on the snow, in the sand, on a foggy window, or in the air. Bring a pencil and a piece of paper!

These programs are accessible to all families and are designed to encourage social skills development, support visual and other literacies, and encourage personal expression.

Support provided by Art Bridges.
