Explore big questions in space science and the latest discoveries in the cosmos with this monthly planetarium series for adults every first Wednesday of the month.

Wednesday, December 3 — Satellite Demolition Derby!
68,000 objects of every size and shape have been launched into Earth orbit. While most have re-entered and burned up in the atmosphere, more than half remain in orbit and many are active, working satellites. Is there a point when the number of satellites becomes too many? Could there ever be a time when satellites outnumber the visible stars? What impact could this have on us?

Wednesday, January 7 — Where Are All the Green Stars?
Black holes aren’t black. Neptune is not a rich oceanic blue. The Moon is not a pale shade of gray. And why are there no green stars? Many misconceptions about the universe are simply because the weird world of space confounds our expectations and confuses our senses. Address these and other misconceptions in this month’s surprising program.

Recommended for ages 18+; 60-minute show plus Q&A. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.
