To all our supporters, collaborators, members, and community partners, we send heartfelt thanks and invite you to join us in looking forward with a spirit of optimism toward the brighter days that await in 2021.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for being a part of the Hudson River Museum. This has been a challenging year in every respect and we take this time to celebrate our wonderful community, and to express our appreciation for your participation and presence, in all its forms.

Thank you again for being an integral part of the Museum. Your support allows us to keep our doors open, and we are committed, in return, to offer you respite, resilience, and inspiration.

At long last, the Hudson River Museum is reopening to the public this Saturday, July 25. We are so excited to welcome you back.

The Hudson River Museum unequivocally believes that Black Lives Matter. This time, it is George Floyd; before him, it was Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Atatiana Jefferson, Philando Castile, Alton Sterling, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Trayvon Martin, and many others. We say their names.

In light of the challenges we are enduring as an institution and as a community, it gives me great pride and pleasure to share with you the very good news that the HRM’s exhibition, Maya Lin: A River Is a Drawing (October 2018–January 2019), has been identified as one of the best curated art exhibitions worldwide by the Global Fine Art Awards.

Beyond our walls, the Museum leadership and staff are hard at work, steadfast and committed to our mission to engage, inspire, and connect diverse communities through the power of the arts, sciences, and history. We encourage you to stay connected to us through #MuseumFromHome.

In light of the escalating concerns over COVID-19, the declaration of a national emergency, and our deep concern for the safety and health of our staff and community, the Hudson River Museum will be closed to the public until further notice.

According to a new medical study that was published this week in the British Medical Journal, visiting museums can increase your longevity. Indulge in some quality time at the HRM with those you hold dear, and give yourself the gift of self care during the holidays.

On Sunday, September 29, we were thrilled and honored to welcome António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, to the HRM. We at the Museum find great inspiration in his tireless dedication to confronting climate change, advancing gender and educational equity, and promoting social justice around the globe.
