Update: Teen Night festivities will take place, rain or shine!

A creative space for teens to show off their talent, explore the Museum, and try something new! This FREE event is inspired by the powerful portraits in Art and Identity.

Interested in showcasing your art or talent at Teen Night? Complete the following submission form by Saturday, May 4 to sign up. Once you have completed the form, an HRM Teen Programs coordinator will follow up within 3–5 business days, and you will be notified of your acceptance. Any questions can be addressed to teenprograms@hrm.org.

If selected to showcase your artwork, you must be available to drop it off on Monday, May 6 and to pick it up by Friday, May 17. If selected to showcase your talent (performance), you must be available to rehearse on Monday, May 6 between 3–5pm.

Schedule of events:

5–6pm: Cosmic Travel
See what happens above the clouds in this celestial planetarium experience, while listening to music under the dome.

5–6:30pm: Hip-Hop Dance Workshop
Get down with Rep Your Style and learn new dance moves.

5–7pm: Drop In & Draw
Everyone has an inner artist. Drop into the galleries and sketch with artist Leo De La Cruz. Walk away with your own masterpiece inspired by The Color of the Moon.

5–7pm: Poetry Flex with Marcus John
Look closely at the powerful portraits on view in Art and Identity, then write a poem that reflects your identity.

5–7pm: Karaoke
Sing your heart out in this fun karaoke session!

5–7pm: Button Making
Personalize your own button and take home a piece of the Hudson River Museum.

5–7pm: Body Paint
Roll up your sleeves and get fun designs painted on your arms by 320BodyArt.

5–7pm: Refreshments
Enjoy light refreshments.

6–6:30pm: YoFiFest Films
View short films that celebrate independent, artistic spirits from around the world—and right in our own backyard!

6:30–8pm: Talent Showcase (Performance)
Get ready for an amazing series of performances, from slam poetry to dance and singing, and everything in between! Submit your talent by Saturday, May 4 at 11:59pm.

All Night: Talent Showcase (Art)
Check out the teen exhibition curated by HRM Junior Docents, featuring artwork from all around New York! Submit your art by Saturday, May 4 at 11:59pm.

All Night: Meme the Museum!
Find a work of art that speaks to you and give it a caption. Use the hashtag #HRMMeme to participate!

All Night: Scavenger Hunt
Travel around the Museum to find (and learn about!) works on view with our moon-themed scavenger hunt.
