Painter Librado “Lee” Romero and photographer Richard Misrach offer two views of Calexico, California, both on view at the Hudson River Museum.

In May 2020, we invited teachers and students to submit images or writing that reflected our new reality during the pandemic. We were moved and humbled by the response from near and far.

As we approach the final weeks of artist Derrick Adams’ exhibition, We Came to Party and Plan, we’re looking back at Adams’ joyful work at the HRM. Be sure to come see this unforgettable installation before it closes on October 18.

As part of our ongoing Museum from Home initiative, staff members recorded videos, audio clips, and written descriptions of the works that they admired. Here, we’re featuring the staff members who picked landscapes as their favorites.

Meet Me on the Moon at the Hudson River Museum is a selection of artworks from the culminating exhibition that was held at Museum School 25 in June. On view at the Museum through October 29, 2019.

As part of our collaboration with Art Bridges, HRM Museum Educator Bridget McCormick, HRM Kress Interpretive Fellow Christian Stegall, and Yonkers-based spoken word artist Marcus John developed and facilitated a series of gallery experiences and workshops based on the four loaned paintings in Art and Identity.
